The Birthday Interview – I’ve seen this posted all over Pinterest and I thought it would be fun to give it a try. I had always planned on doing some sort of birthday portrait… But when you combine it with some fun tidbits of their life, it really takes it to a whole new level. Of course these are things you think you’ll never forget – but somehow I know I will. I can’t even remember what I ate for breakfast.
It was actually hilarious to do the interview and I wish I had it recorded on video…(maybe next year). I ended up doing it almost three times and I got a variety of different answers for some of the questions. Piper is definitely at the stage where she has a favorite song of the “moment” and a favorite book of the “moment”. But, there are some things that are tried & true – like her love for Elmo, gold fish and ice water.
For these balloon shots, I had fun playing with the Luxe Action set from The Florabella Collection. They have some really great, unique actions – so if you want to make your life easier in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements – definitely check them out.
Here are just a few photos from Piper and her friend Kate’s joint party…I made owl cupcakes that I found on Pinterest (yes, I actually made something that I pinned – I get so excited when I do that!) My friend Alex, who runs Yellowbird Music put on a fun musical hour for the kids filled with drums, guitars, puppets and hula hoops. It was the perfect way to celebrate the 2 best years of our life!
