I’ve always heard that you never take as many photos of your second child as you do of your first…BUT I never wanted to believe it. I always secretly thought to myself, “That will never be me.”
But, it’s undeniably true.
It’s not that you love them any less or are any less in awe of their every move – you just have other things on your mind…like…”Is my two year old covering herself in my red lipstick or unraveling the entire toilet paper roll while I sit here and snap photos?”
And while there is no possible way I can take as many photos of Paxton as I did of Piper – I am still trying to set up a little shoot for him every 3 months.
These were taken in our living room in natural window light or in our front doorway. While I love the convenience of shooting right in our living room – I can’t wait to get the little guy outside for a shoot in a few months!
**all taken with my Canon 5D Mark II and 50mm, 1.2

Janey,
What beautiful pictures! We get to watch Piper and Paxton grow through your pictures even though we live in Wisconsin. I wish we had this capability when our children were growing up in Pennsylvania and Michigan away from their grandparents. What a joy! Thank you for sharing. Love, Mom and Dad Strong
